Course Objectives In this course, students learn and practice the principles of physical therapy , acquired theoretical knowledge is reinforced with practice, learn the features and clinical therapeutic agents and learn how will help to physiotherapist
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Be able to practice Short- wave diathermy and Microwave Diathermy.
  • Know the effects of Ultrasond and be able to apply.
  • Know the effects of the laser device and apply to the patient.
  • Explain the effects of electrotherapy and the situations it could be used
  • Describe the purpose of transkutenal electrical nerve stimulation ( TENS) and apply it.
Course Description In this course; Thermal modalities (Short Wave Diathermy, Microwave Diathermy), Ultrasound, Non-Thermal Modalities, Laser, Straight Current, Faradic and Sinusoidal Current, TENS currents modalities are available. In addition to theoretical courses, the applications of the subjects are handled in the laboratory environment where physical therapy modalities are present. In this course, it is aimed to gain basic professional skills.
